FPU and Wal-Mart Team up to Donate Bicycles

Fayetteville Public Utilities (FPU) and Wal-Mart have once again teamed up to donate bicycles to children in Lincoln County. For the past several years the businesses have partnered to donate 14 bikes to each of the area’s schools. Each school picks one boy and one girl in the third grade who will receive a bike.

“We hope that these bicycles will bring excitement and joy to some children in our community,” said FPU CEO / General Manager Britt Dye. “And we are thankful to Travis Jean, and all of the staff of Wal-Mart in Fayetteville. Their partnership makes this gift possible.”

The bikes were delivered on December 14th to Ralph Askins, Riverside Christian Academy, Blanche, Flintville, South Lincoln, Unity and Highland Rim.
